Cabin Work Week 2023

Our sixth Cabin Work Week was two weeks and focused on the 2nd Branch group cabin area. This site consists of 7 camping cabins and a central lodge. The team of volunteers replaced the roofs on Cabins 2, 5, and 7 with composite singles that look like cedar shakes.  (These maintain the historic look of these cabins while being better suited for the park environment.)  The volunteers also painted all structures, replaced rotted wood, and repaired screens -- all while having a great time.  Additionally, a roof repair was done to cabin 4, and the Bathhouse exterior was redesigned to make future maintenance easier and to improve its appearance.   See the project unfold in the video.
