Volunteer Benefits
Volunteer benefits are awarded by the Department of Conservation and
Recreation. The training you’ll receive for your duties as a state park
volunteer is an excellent way to gain work experience and improve job
skills. Volunteer hours also count as job experience when applying for
employment with Virginia State Parks or for any Virginia state
government position.
- Benefits are rewarded as the particular level of service is reached.
- Hours are recorded on a calendar basis beginning/ending on the day that you register as a volunteer.
- Members register and log in hours at the Virginia State Parks Volunteer Website.
