More Poca Parking Raffle
If you love trails you love Pocahontas State Park. Miles and miles of awesome trail and limited access to parking. We all know the pain! Thanks to the generous users and the efforts of Friends of Pocahontas State Park and RVAMORE the initial funds were raised to complete the planning and construction documents for an expanded parking lot at Loop Forest Trail head (Courthouse Road). The next step is to raise the needed funds to build the newly designed parking lot. Well we are about 30 days from final approved plans and our fundraising efforts are going to take a fast track to meet an opportunity to good to pass up.
Friends of Pocahontas was approached by a generous donor that has challenged the group by offering to match dollar for dollar up to $100,000 all funds that are raised between now and December 15th. As you can imagine that is a deal that you must jump on. In addition the park has agreed to build additional trail as part of the donors generous offer.
So we have pulled together some cool prizes for this raffle to help with the challenge. More funds, more parking, and more trails. Help us help you with extra parking and possibly a cool prize.
